Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing pertinent medical history and performing assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Clearly communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and goals with both patients and their families, ensuring their engagement in the rehabilitation process.
• Implement treatment protocols tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing various modalities and techniques based on clinical evaluation and current evidence.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of patient progress, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic care, recognizing when modifications to treatment plans are necessary due to changes in patients' conditions.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity goals, participate actively in departmental meetings, and contribute to community outreach initiatives.
• Assist in discharge planning, ensuring patients have proper resources for continued recovery post-therapy, including follow-up appointments and referrals as necessary.
• Engage in professional development opportunities such as workshops and seminars, and take on mentorship roles for aspiring physical therapy students.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate Degree (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist within Florida.
• American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
