This individual promotes excellence based on department specific and organizational goals. The scope of responsibility for this position includes 24 hour clinical accountability for assigned areas. The Nurse Supervisor 24/7 practice creates a professional environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient care and is an advocate for patient and staff safety. This position requires collaboration with all other Mayo services to enhance patient care and assure that appropriate care is delivered for the population served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's specific needs is required. The Nurse Supervisor 24/7 practice supports leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, and community involvement. The individual may also be involved with hiring staff, staffing the unit and participation in committees and research. The individual supervises nursing practice within a hospital-based program/unit and has supervisory responsibilities such as staff performance reviews. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing degree program.Masters preferred.Minimum of 2 years of nursing practice or progressive leadership experience required.Previous PIV ultrasound insertion experience preferred.CRNI and/or VA-BC certification preferred.Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness required.Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.Current RN license by applicable state requirements.Arizona - Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.Positions that are not on campus may not require current Basic Life Support (BLS) competency as determined by the work area.Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required by the work area.Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail $105,060.80 - $157,643.2 / year Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 80 Schedule Details Days Hours: Buisness hours based on unit needs Monday-Friday Weekend Schedule No weekends No call International Assignment No Site Description Just as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations.
