Monday through Friday 7AM till the start of school and/or 2PM-6PM As the Site Coordinator , you’re not just running a program—you’re helping create an experience that kids look forward to every single day! Under the guidance of the School Age Director, you’ll lead the day-to-day adventures of our School Age program, support your team, connect with families, and make sure every child has a safe, exciting, and unforgettable experience. You’ll have the opportunity to dream up awesome activities, lead an amazing team, solve challenges, celebrate successes, and make a real difference in the lives of children and families. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the adventure! Plan and bring to life fun, creative, and engaging activities that keep kids excited to come back each day. Be a positive and encouraging leader for Assistant leaders and Group Leaders- helping them create the magic. Help your team feel supported, motivated, Host meetings and encourage them to be ready to bring their best energy every day. Build meaningful relationships with children and families and help create a strong sense of community and boost our enrollment. Keep the program organized and running smoothly—even when the unexpected happens! Handle children's files and make sure everything is up to date. Help keep the program in compliance with YMCA policies, licensing requirements, and all safety guidelines. Make safety a priority while following EEC protocol, and guidance from the School Age Director. (Serving food, Site set up, Files) Be a problem-solver, cheerleader, planner, and team player all rolled into one! Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 20 years of age. B.S. or B.A. with 9 months experience with school age children, or High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year working with school age. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required. Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months. Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella. Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work and thrive as part of a cohesive team. Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary. Will sometimes work early morning, late nights and weekends. Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities. Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75lbs on occasion and 40lbs frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours. Ability to thoroughly understand Y-USA's three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility; proven ability to identify and meet the needs of the health seeker Program Responsibilities Understand, implement, and maintain compliance with all EEC regulations and Old Colony Y policies, including Child and Youth Care, Child Guidance, Health Care, and other applicable policies. Plan, develop, and implement engaging, age-appropriate program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and Old Colony YMCA policies. Develop programming that recognizes and supports the individual needs of each child, including their interests, abilities, disabilities, special talents, cultural backgrounds, and individual learning styles and pace. Provide leadership and oversight of daily activities, including: Y Chat Homework Help STEM activities Arts and crafts Group games and activities Long-term projects Program set-up and clean-up Assist with staffing at other school-age locations and full-day programs when needed. Supervise children throughout all program areas, field trips, special events, and other program activities. Act as a positive role model for children, staff, and families. Maintain a positive and supportive environment while ensuring appropriate child behavior and strict adherence to YMCA Child Guidance and Child Care policies. Communicate promptly and professionally with parents, school personnel, potential clients, and community partners. Represent and promote YMCA programs through public appearances, presentations, and positive interactions with families and the community. Use good judgment and professionalism when representing the YMCA, including on social media and other public platforms. Complete and maintain all required documentation, including accident reports, incident reports, attendance records, and other program paperwork. Ensure required documentation is submitted to the School Age Director in a timely manner. Create and provide weekly staff schedules and meeting agendas as needed. Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure all required reports and paperwork are completed and submitted appropriately. Meet with the School Age Director as directed. Provide leadership during weekly site staff meetings and monthly School Age meetings. Coordinate with the YMCA office as needed to collect supplies, exchange paperwork, and complete other administrative tasks. Collect, record, receipt, and manage payments and billing according to the YMCA parent payment schedule and established procedures. Support ongoing professional development by participating in training, conferences, courses, and other professional growth opportunities. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel and other site-specific partners. Supervision of Personnel Recruit, supervise, train, support, and evaluate school-age staff and volunteers in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Organize, facilitate, and document regular staff meetings to ensure expectations and work plans are being followed and adjusted as needed. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to staff to promote strong performance and a positive team culture. Ensure staff understand and follow all YMCA policies, EEC regulations, safety procedures, and program expectations. Attend mandatory training and all required Site Coordinator meetings. Fiscal & Enrollment Responsibilities Coordinate the purchase of program supplies in partnership with the School Age Director. Support efforts to maintain and achieve maximum program enrollment. Assist with the YMCA Annual Campaign and other fundraising initiatives. Follow all YMCA fiscal policies and procedures, including: Purchase orders Employee expense forms Communicate billing or payment concerns to the director or billing coordinator. Facility & Housekeeping Responsibilities Ensure program spaces are clean, organized, welcoming, and safe for children and staff. Ensure equipment and supplies are properly maintained and safely stored. Communicate facility, maintenance, and safety concerns to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner. Assist with cleaning, organization, and program set-up as needed. Volunteer, Committee & Community Responsibilities Actively participate in assigned committees, YMCA initiatives, and the Annual Campaign. Promote YMCA programs through public appearances, presentations, community events, and positive interactions with families and community members. Maintain professionalism when representing the YMCA, including during school events, community activities, social media use, and other public-facing interactions. Participate in occasional after-hours YMCA or school-related events and activities as program needs require. Complete at least 20 hours of childcare-related training annually.
