Role Description The Family Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role located in Barefoot Bay, FL. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care services, including patient assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and delivering preventive care and health education. The practitioner will also address urgent care needs such as minor injuries and acute illnesses, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to ensure integrated, evidence-based care. The role requires maintaining accurate clinical documentation, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and fostering a respectful, inclusive environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Clinical practice skills as a Family Nurse Practitioner, including independent patient assessment and management. Strong nursing foundation with experience in primary care and chronic disease management. Knowledge of family medicine principles and ability to address urgent care needs in an outpatient setting. Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida and national board certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC). Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and accurate clinical documentation. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to patient-centered, culturally sensitive care. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment. Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS preferred.
