Ultrasound Technician - 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM Job Description The position of Ultrasound Technician involves performing all aspects of patient exam activities at a technical level, ensuring the production of high-quality images consistent with established policies and procedures. The role typically requires general supervision. Responsibilities Specializes in performing ultrasound diagnostic studies. Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster comfort and confidence. Operates and maintains all assigned ultrasound scanning equipment. Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings, and conducts scanning procedures. Completes quality assurance processes and ensures radiation safety. Complies with all Joint Commission, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Maintains required documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records. Maintains an adequate supply of all consumables for quality testing. Performs routine maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment. May assist other areas of radiology as assigned. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2+ years of MRI experience (required) Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations (required) Travel experience (preferred) BLS Certification (required) ARRT Certification (required) Schedule This position involves a schedule of 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with on-call and weekend responsibilities.
