We are looking for experienced title professionals who understand the entire processing lifecycle and can take ownership of a file from start to finish. Role Description Sonic Title® is seeking an experienced Title Processor for a full-time, on-site position in Dearborn, MI. Prior title processing experience is required for this position. Our ideal candidate must have experience processing a title commitment from start to finish and understand the full lifecycle of a title file. We are not looking for candidates whose experience has been limited to one individual step of the process before passing the file to another department or processor. You should be comfortable taking ownership of a file, reviewing the title commitment and requirements, identifying what needs to be cleared, gathering the necessary documentation, coordinating with all parties, resolving issues, and preparing the file for closing. Responsibilities Reviewing and processing title orders and title commitments from start to finish Reviewing title requirements, liens, judgments, taxes, mortgages, payoffs, releases, and other matters affecting title Identifying and working to clear title requirements and discrepancies Obtaining payoffs, HOA information, surveys, releases, and other required documentation Coordinating directly with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, sellers, attorneys, municipalities, and other parties Preparing and maintaining accurate title and closing documentation Preparing files and closing packages for settlement Maintaining accurate records and organized transaction files Managing multiple active files and deadlines simultaneously Providing responsive communication and customer service throughout the transaction Qualifications Previous title processing experience is required Must have hands-on experience processing title commitments and files from start to finish Strong understanding of title commitments, requirements, curative matters, payoffs, liens, releases, taxes, and closing documentation Ability to independently manage and take ownership of a title file throughout the processing lifecycle Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple files, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with escrow procedures and closing processes Basic accounting skills and ability to review figures and closing statements for accuracy Experience with title and escrow software and the ability to learn new systems quickly Notary experience or certification is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required This is not an entry-level position.
