Accounting Associate

Role Description This full-time, on-site Accounting Associate role is based in Lawrence, NY. The Accounting Associate will support daily accounting operations, including preparing and reviewing financial records, processing journal entries, and assisting with the reconciliation of accounts. The role includes maintaining organized documentation, supporting month-end closing activities, and helping prepare internal reports related to loans and financing products. The Accounting Associate will collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure accuracy, compliance with internal controls, and timely completion of accounting tasks. The position may also assist with responding to internal inquiries, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements. Qualifications Strong understanding of Finance and Financial Statements, including the ability to interpret and prepare basic reports. Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and familiarity with general ledger processes. Hands‑on experience with Accounting Software and comfort learning new financial systems. Solid Analytical Skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work. Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (degree or equivalent experience). Ability to work on-site in Lawrence, NY and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
