Role Description\n

We are seeking a motivated, outgoing, and customer-focused Flooring Sales Professional to join our Monarch Carpet One team in Akron, Ohio.

\n

This full-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for sales and home improvement, and wants to build a rewarding career with a growing company.

\n

Our Flooring Sales Professionals do more than sell products. They help customers make confident decisions about their homes while building relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.

\n

You will guide customers through the entire sales experience, from their initial showroom visit or consultation through product selection, estimating, closing the sale, and following up throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Welcome customers and deliver an exceptional showroom experience.

\n

• Understand customer needs, budgets, lifestyles, and design preferences.

\n

• Recommend flooring products and solutions that best fit each customer's project.

\n

• Assist customers with carpet, luxury vinyl, hardwood, laminate, tile, and other flooring selections.

\n

• Schedule in-home measurements and consultations.

\n

• Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and sales documentation.

\n

• Consistently follow up with leads, open estimates, and existing customers to earn their business.

\n

• Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.

\n

• Educate customers on product features, warranties, installation options, and available financing programs.

\n

• Collaborate with operations and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.

\n

• Maintain accurate customer records and follow established company sales processes.

\n

• Keep the showroom organized, professional, and inviting.

\n

• Participate in weekly sales training, product education, and professional development.

\n

• Work toward individual and team sales goals through consistent daily activities and strong customer follow-up.

Qualifications\n

• Previous sales experience preferred, particularly in flooring, furniture, home improvement, automotive, or other consultative sales environments.

\n

• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

\n

• A genuine desire to help customers and deliver an outstanding experience.

\n

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.

\n

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

\n

• Ability to follow a structured sales process and consistently follow up with customers.

\n

• Comfortable using computers, customer management systems, and sales technology.

\n

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and accept coaching.

\n

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

\n

• Availability to work a retail schedule, including some Saturdays.

\n

Previous flooring experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to succeed.
