Key Qualifications:

• Valid and current Louisiana DOE Certification (temporary credentials not accepted)
• Demonstrated experience in high school math instruction within a general education setting
• Thorough understanding of curriculum standards and effective teaching methodologies for grades 9–12
• Ability to undergo and successfully complete district-mandated drug screening and fingerprinting processes, in addition to standard credentialing requirements
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Eagerness to begin work promptly, with all necessary certifications fully in place

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based math instruction to high school students in a general education classroom
• Adapt lessons and teaching approaches to serve diverse learning styles and needs
• Assess student progress through varied evaluation methods, maintaining accurate records and contributing to education plans
• Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Participate in school events, professional development, and meetings as required by the academic calendar
