ROLE SUMMARY

As Director, Sales – Golf, you’ll lead Branded Bills’ golf sales channel nationwide, setting strategy and owning revenue results across green-grass pro shops, off-course and specialty retail, national and key accounts, and custom and corporate golf programs. You’ll build and lead the golf sales team, turn product and brand strategy into channel growth, and serve as the primary executive contact for our largest golf partners and buying groups. You’ll also partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Operations to make sure the golf line is positioned, priced, and delivered to win share in one of retail’s most competitive categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute the national sales strategy for the golf channel, setting annual revenue targets, account plans, and channel growth priorities in partnership with executive leadership. Recruit, hire, coach, and manage a team of Golf Account Managers and Sales Representatives; set individual quotas and performance standards and hold the team accountable to results. Own and grow relationships with national/key accounts, major buying groups, and strategic green grass and off-course retail partners, including direct involvement in top-tier account negotiations. Build and manage the golf channel sales forecast, pipeline, and budget; report regularly on performance against targets to executive leadership. Represent Branded Bills at industry trade shows (including the PGA Merchandise Show), regional buying shows, and customer events; identify and cultivate new account opportunities. Partner with Product and Design on seasonal line development, ensuring the golf assortment reflects market trends, account feedback, and competitive positioning. Collaborate with Marketing on go-to-market plans, co-op programs, and sales collateral that support golf channel growth. Work with Operations and Fulfillment to ensure order accuracy, on-time delivery, and a high standard of service for golf accounts. Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends within the golf headwear and apparel category and adjust channel strategy accordingly. Maintain accurate account and pipeline records in the company CRM and ensure the team does the same. Uphold and model Branded Bills’ brand standards, culture, and values in all customer and internal interactions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position directly supervises our Golf Sales Team and carries full people-management responsibility, including hiring, performance management, coaching/development, and disciplinary action in accordance with Branded Bills policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 4+ years of progressive sales experience in the golf industry, including experience selling headwear, apparel, or related golf products into green grass and/or off-course retail channels. 4+ years of sales leadership experience, with a demonstrated track record of building and managing a high-performing sales team. Established relationships within the golf industry (pro shops, buying groups, national accounts, or distributors) strongly preferred. Proven ability to develop and execute a national sales strategy and deliver against revenue targets. Strong negotiation, forecasting, and account-planning skills. Proficiency with CRM systems and standard sales reporting tools; Microsoft Office/Google Workspace proficiency. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the brand to senior buyers and executives. Willingness and ability to travel nationally, approximately 50%, including to trade shows and account visits. Work Environment Requirements Ability to travel by air and ground transportation on a frequent basis. Ability to stand, walk, and engage in trade show/booth activity for extended periods during industry events.

Golf channel revenue grows against the annual target set in the account plan, with no erosion in sell-through at key green grass and national accounts.
