Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities. They provide services across the continuum of care in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and customer-oriented manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Develops and revises treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families. Performs patient assessments, establishes treatment goals, and evaluates progress. Provides patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources. Documents evaluations and treatment sessions per departmental guidelines. Acts as a referral source for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment. Adheres to ethical practices, maintains confidentiality, and demonstrates professionalism. Participates in staff meetings, ongoing education, and departmental activities. Ensures safety and infection control protocols are followed. Delivers high-quality customer service, fostering teamwork and positive patient experiences. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Licensure as a Physical Therapist and Basic Life Support certification.
