Job Description

The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager III owns the end-to-end lifecycle of complex, cross-functional infrastructure programs across global fulfillment and logistics operations. This role operates both tactically and strategically, driving day-to-day program execution while defining the program mission, multi-year roadmap, and the business and technology choices that shape infrastructure direction within a large, fast-paced technology organization. You lead collaboration across engineering, operations, vendors, finance, field IT, and security teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure, while providing clear executive-level reporting and visibility into program impact, risk, and investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of complex, multi-site, multi-million-dollar infrastructure programs, including defining program mission, scope, success criteria, and multi-year roadmaps.

• Drive program strategy in ambiguous environments by creating decision frameworks, stakeholder maps, and execution plans where no existing playbook is available.

• Balance short-term execution with long-term strategic direction, actively managing scope, risk, and cost trade-offs to meet business goals.

• Coordinate multi-vendor field deployments and remediation activities across global sites, overseeing procurement processes such as RFQs, CARs, and POs, and managing supply-chain and lead-time constraints.

• Manage dependencies related to site readiness and work closely with field IT and other internal teams to ensure smooth deployment and remediation activities.

• Oversee third-party contractor labor models, including escort and access requirements, and monitor vendor performance in environments where internal capacity is constrained.

• Own executive-level reporting artifacts for assigned programs, including OP1/OP2 narratives, CARs, six-page documents, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

• Present program status, risks, key decisions, and recommendations to senior leaders several tiers above the role, ensuring clarity and alignment on program direction and investments.

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve program health dashboards that provide stakeholders with visibility into performance, risk, and progress against goals.

• Identify and mitigate execution, safety, compliance, and financial risks across programs, partnering with deployment planning teams on escalations and deviation approvals.

• Maintain a detailed risk register and drive path-to-green plans for at-risk programs, ensuring issues are tracked, owned, and resolved in a timely manner.

• Act as the primary interface between engineering, operations, vendors, finance, security, and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment across all stakeholders.

• Build consensus across teams with competing priorities and drive alignment and decision-making without direct authority, using influence and data-driven arguments.

• Streamline or eliminate excess process and complexity, designing predictable and repeatable delivery paths that support concurrent deployments and program scalability.

• Lead efforts in process improvement and operational excellence, leveraging automation, predictive data assessment, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

• Mentor and support other program managers, sharing best practices on scaling programs, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership.

• Review program health dashboards and operational ticket trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities, and translate insights into concrete actions.

• Facilitate daily syncs with engineers, field partners, and other stakeholders to align on milestones, unblock deliverables, and escalate issues when necessary.

• Collaborate with vendors and partner teams on deployment schedules, RFQs, and supply-chain challenges, ensuring commitments are met and risks are mitigated.

• Prepare and refine executive updates for QBRs, CARs, and OP narratives, ensuring that program metrics, risks, and outcomes are clearly communicated.

• Contribute to shaping infrastructure direction across a large network of fulfillment and logistics sites, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience managing complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure or technology programs in an operations environment.

• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively for executives, with a strong focus on narrative-style communication rather than slide-based presentations.

• Ability to work comfortably in highly ambiguous environments, including defining scope, building consensus among diverse stakeholders, and driving decisions where no established playbook exists.

• Strong cross-functional influence skills without formal authority, with a track record of effective collaboration across engineering, operations, vendors, and finance.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.

• Experience in infrastructure deployment programs and technical environments, with a track record of successful project delivery.

• Solid understanding of program and project management principles, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience owning multi-year strategic roadmaps, not only executing predefined scopes, and aligning long-term infrastructure investments with business objectives.

• Knowledge of power, electrical, and cooling infrastructure such as UPS, PDU, ATS, and HVAC systems.

• Background in data center, fulfillment center, or logistics infrastructure environments, with familiarity in large-scale, mission-critical operations.

• Experience managing third-party vendor and contractor programs, including field deployment models and performance oversight.

• Familiarity with high-growth, fast-paced technology cultures and tooling ecosystems, including structured cabling, edge compute, and automation solutions.

• Experience mentoring or developing other program managers, helping them improve delivery, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.

• Agile or Lean Sigma certifications, with the ability to apply iterative, continuous improvement and lean principles to program delivery.

• Experience in electronics manufacturing, new product introduction (NPI), or sustaining engineering in technical or infrastructure-related contexts.

This role sits within a team that designs, standardizes, and sustains scalable, cost-effective, and resilient IT infrastructure for global fulfillment and logistics operations. The environment focuses on enabling high-performance Operations Technology solutions through robust power, cooling, structured cabling, edge compute, and automation. Work spans demarcation rooms, MDFs, IDFs, power systems such as UPSs, ATSs, and PDUs, fault-managed power, cooling and containment, telecommunications, and distributed edge compute infrastructure. The team leverages automation, predictive data assessment, and proactive maintenance to drive operational excellence, minimize downtime, and scale infrastructure to support rapid growth while aligning with goals of efficiency, reliability, safety, sustainability, and scalability. You collaborate closely with engineering, operations, vendors, finance, field IT, and security teams in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional setting, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, clear executive communication, and continuous improvement.

This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
