The nurse will assist with surgeries in the Operating Room and Hybrid Imaging suite. The role requires working with a team of nurses and surgical techs for Endo and Open cases. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care. Accountability for the provision of patient care is essential. The nurse will evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinating patient care in conjunction with other departments is required. Maintaining patient rights and confidentiality is a priority. Duties must align with professional standards and values. This position involves direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse will monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions must be within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Strong skills in human relations and communication are required. Demonstrated clinical expertise in the area of responsibility is necessary. Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time on duty. The role may require lifting and pushing patients. Typically, work will be performed in a clean, air-conditioned area. Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. There may be minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling requirements.
