The Impact You Will Make As a key member of the LAWV program management team , you will play a vital role in ensuring high‑quality, accessible legal services for low‑income West Virginians. Strategic Leadership: You will assist the Executive Director in fulfilling administrative and financial responsibilities to the Board of Directors and help set office priorities by assessing the unique needs of clients in your region. Team Mentorship: You will be responsible for building and coaching a legal team , including the hiring, orientation, training, and professional development of field staff. Operational Excellence: You will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our recently renovated, modern office space in downtown Logan , ensuring uniform, high‑quality advocacy across all forums, including courts and administrative agencies. Community Advocacy: You will collaborate with human and social service organizations to strengthen local service delivery and ensure legal aid reaches those who need it most. Direct Advocacy: You will remain an active practitioner, providing direct legal services and maintaining a presence in the courtroom alongside your team. Requirements Who You Are We are looking for a talented lawyer with a "participatory management style" who thrives in a team‑oriented environment. Experience: You must be a member in good standing of the West Virginia State Bar with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Management Proven: You have a demonstrated ability to manage personnel, ideally with 2+ years of managerial experience .
