Fall 2026 Guest Experience (Paid) Intern

Internship: Guest Experience (Paid) The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is offering a paid internship for full‑time college students to support Guest Experience operations in downtown Nashville. Museum Overview Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum documents the history of country music and offers educational programs, publications, and exhibitions. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the museum preserves an unparalleled collection and operates Historic RCA Studio B and Hatch Show Print, a historic letterpress print shop. Internship Program Overview Paid internships are available for undergraduate and graduate students (25 hours per week for 12 weeks). The program offers work‑based learning that introduces students to museum and cultural organization careers. Interns receive a $15/hr stipend for bachelor's students and $18/hr for master's and higher students, plus additional benefits such as free parking, museum admission, and discounted local venues. Field Forward Stipend Eligible candidates may receive a living and relocation stipend to support students who are traditionally underrepresented in cultural arts careers or have financial need. A separate application is required. Departmental Overview The Guest Experience Department oversees box office sales, tour guiding, and event operations. It manages staff that enhances the guest experience, including Box Office Sales, Information Desk, Membership Desk, greeters, tour guides, and ushers. Guest Experience Internship Overview Interns provide strong customer service, make decisions in a fast‑paced environment, and assist Guest Experience Management with daily front‑line operations. Specific Internship Duties Work front‑line positions such as Front Greet, Box Office, and Elevator. Sell tickets, packages, and memberships at box offices. Assist at the Information Desk with groups and ticketing. Attend department meetings and special events like the Medallion Ceremony and songwriter sessions. Aid with CMA Theater events, logistic support, crowd management, and concert ticketing. Assist with daily, monthly, and event scheduling. Schedule public and group tours of RCA Studio B and Hatch Show Print. Shadow Guest Experience Management and Reservations Departments. Update staff documents and maintain reports, scanners, and ticketing systems. Perform a Guided Museum Tour. Minimum Requirements Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student. PC proficiency, Word and Excel knowledge. Preferred Requirements Background in tourism, hospitality, or organizational management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfort engaging guests in diverse social settings. Knowledge of the Nashville area and its music history. Conditions of Internship Expectations to work after‑hours events.
