Internship: Hatch Show Print Education and Administration (Paid) The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum offers a 12‑week, 25‑hour-per-week paid internship for full‑time undergraduate and graduate students. Interns work within Hatch Show Print’s Education and Programs Department, engaging the public through tours, educational programs, and hands‑on letterpress printing activities while developing and documenting best practices for the shop’s operations. What We Offer Interns: The hourly rate: $15/hour for bachelor’s students; $18/hour for master’s students or higher. Free 24/7 downtown parking or a WeGo bus pass. Complimentary admission to the Museum for yourself. Two complimentary Museum admission passes for friends or family. Free guided tour of Hatch Show Print, Historic RCA Studio B, and the Museum’s galleries. Discounts at Museum stores and restaurants. Free or discounted entry to local venues such as the National Museum of African American Music, the Opry, and Ryman Auditorium. Fun, friendly, and supportive learning environment. Field Forward Stipend: A living and relocation stipend, available to select candidates who are traditionally underrepresented in cultural arts careers and who demonstrate financial need. Proof of need may be required. Specific Internship Duties Include: Review and streamline visitor education processes about letterpress printing and Hatch Show Print history. Observe and systematize the processes used when printing with platen, proofing, and cylinder presses. Assist with public activations where participants operate a sign press and create souvenir posters. Clean presses, organize materials, and prepare the classroom for activities. Help audit, organize, and create a shop manual. Minimum Requirements: Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student seeking credit. Experience in organizing, archiving, or creating/editing instructional materials. Appreciation for engaging audiences of all ages and skill levels. Knowledge of design, art history, music history, fine art, crafts, or printmaking. Preferred Requirements: Experience in college‑level courses in a related field. Knowledge of graphic design and/or letterpress printing. Ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve, collaborate, focus, and work in a fast‑paced environment. Comfort with public speaking. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Conditions of Internship: Work during Hatch Show Print hours (generally 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., seven days a week). Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and some holidays. Lift 30 lbs. or less; stand for extended periods. Pass a driving record check.
