About the Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Specialist to provide expert technical support and analysis for their operations in Randburg . This role focuses on deep dives into process performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and product quality. You will act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with plant engineers and operators to optimize chemical processes and ensure adherence to stringent standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on process improvements within a key industrial hub in Gauteng. Key Responsibilities Provide expert technical guidance on the operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of complex chemical processes. Analyze process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential areas for improvement, developing data-driven recommendations. Lead root cause analysis investigations for process upsets and implement corrective actions. Develop and update process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and technical specifications. Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in chemical process engineering and recommend their adoption where appropriate. Support process safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations in the Randburg area. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a process engineer or specialist in the chemical industry. In-depth knowledge of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation technologies. Proven expertise in process simulation, data analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
