Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disabilities and enhancing muscle function based on comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants in the implementation of treatment plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols and individual patient needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' functional abilities, utilizing diagnostic tools to establish effective treatment goals and monitor progress.
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring all interventions align with patients' goals for recovery.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and educational resources, motivating patients throughout their recovery journey.
• Regularly evaluate and recommend modifications for assistive devices, ensuring optimal functionality for patients.
• Document clinical findings, treatment techniques, patient progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Engage in multidisciplinary case conferences to enhance collaboration and improve holistic patient care.
• Maintain open communication with patients and their families, providing education regarding the therapeutic processes and promoting adherence to treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you'll serve primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise in addressing a wide range of orthopedic issues will enable you to develop tailored interventions that meet the specific needs of each patient, ultimately contributing to faster recovery and return to daily activities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia, in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of experience working as a physical therapist, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and fellow healthcare providers.
• A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Strong Vitality Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
