Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery unit at a Level II facility. Responsible for providing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care in a dynamic perinatal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
• Assist with labor progression, perform delivery procedures, and ensure the safety of mother and newborn.
• Manage obstetric emergencies such as shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech and CPN systems.
• Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the labor process and postpartum period.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform obstetric procedures, including inductions and emergency interventions.
• Knowledge of OB equipment, fetal monitoring, and emergency protocols.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
