Future Opening: Day Porter Maryland Heights Full Time Cleaning Position is from 10am-6:30pm Monday-Friday. Starts immediately near 270 and page. Background check required. Job Position Description: This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our customers’ buildings and grounds by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned: Remove debris and maintain common space areas. Restock bathrooms and respond to all cleaning emergencies. Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools and procedures. Sweep, mop, polish, clean windows, and move furniture, equipment, etc. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Use proper PPE where required. Clean all common space areas including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby and break room. Place safety hazard signs in the building, including “wet floor” signs as necessary. Monitor, clean, service and restock bathrooms. Respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crises. Remove litter and debris from common space areas. Provide on‑the‑job training to those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper a plus but not required. Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital or school is a plus. Ability to be flexible and work in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasked job. Positive attitude, friendly, and contributes to a positive work climate in uniform, dependable and on time. Respectful and understands co‑workers and customers. Must be able to communicate in English. Physical Demands and Qualifications: Constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead, reaching forward, and ability to lift and/or carry 25 lbs. Ability to read cleaning instructions. Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses.
