Registered Pharmacy Technician

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Registered Pharmacy Technician position. This is a full-time position based out of the Saint James Health Center located in San Jose, CA. The Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performs duties of a non-discretionary nature as allowed by the California State Board of Pharmacy. These duties shall include accepting written prescriptions, typing labels, removing the drug or drugs from stock, counting, pouring or mixing pharmaceuticals, placing the product into a container, affixing the label or labels to the container, prepackaging medications, involvement in inventory control, accepting refill prescription information, non-discretionary communication with patients and healthcare professionals, handling cash, insurance billing and maintaining supplies. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is very important. The successful candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current or pending registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program highly preferred but not required
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting preferred but not required
• Bilingual in Spanish required

Compensation: Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education. Registered Pharmacy Technician: $22.72 - $28.78/Hourly
