Accounts Receivable Specialist, College Grad!

Accounts Receivable Specialist As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a key role in managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate customer account records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field to gain valuable experience in corporate finance and accounting. Responsibilities Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoice generation, cash application, and account reconciliation. Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment and follow up on outstanding balances. Review and verify billing information for accuracy and proper documentation. Maintain customer account records and respond to inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and discrepancies. Assist with collections efforts and resolve payment issues in a professional manner. Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports. Support month‑end closing activities related to accounts receivable. Maintain accurate and organized AR records and documentation. Assist with ad‑hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with specific ERP/accounting systems a plus). Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior internship or relevant work experience in accounting, finance, or collections preferred but not required.
