Job Description

The Student Success Advising Center under Student Success is seeking a federal work-study student to join our team. The work study student will report directly to the Administrative Assistant III, and will assist in the everyday operations within the office.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist students, faculty, and guests in a friendly and professional manner. Provide general front office support and front desk coverage. Assist students at self-service registration stations. Assist with managing documents, including shredding, scanning, copying, and other similar tasks. Design and create marketing materials for office events and announcements such as flyers, brochures and giveaway items. Perform inventory of office supplies, and marketing materials. Cross train in other Student Success related departments such as the Academic Enhancement Center (AEC). Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Must have a Federal Work Study award Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College. Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment. Must be in good conduct standing with Georgia Gwinnett College and maintain good standing for the duration of employment. Must be able to handle confidential information Exhibit professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours a week

Preferred Qualifications

Strong writing, communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Accuracy and attention to details. Willingness to learn new skills to accomplish tasks. Software proficiency such as Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
