What You Need

• High School diploma or GED and two years’ experience in a development or fundraising setting preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, abilities and skills to successfully perform in this role.
• Data experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar platform, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required.
• Experienced in standard bookkeeping procedures.
• Self-starter with ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and proactive problem solver.
• Ability to maintain sensitivity to our target population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Valid driver license with a clean driving record, required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Process and record approximately 100-300 gifts weekly and generate gift acknowledgements within 48 hours of gift receipt.
• Create new records, input/update address information, notes, relationships, and other pertinent information in records as needed.
• Welcome occasional visitors and accept deliveries.
• Prepares deposits and codes the information in advance of data-entry; verifies input to ensure accuracy of completed work, and scans/edits for errors during processing.
• Responds to donor and staff inquiries by researching and resolving problems related to transactions handled by the department.
• Identifies extraordinary giving patterns and notifies the Chief Development Officer for follow-up.
• Perform all other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
