Associate Attorney - Transactional Real Estate Finance 

Starting Salary: $190,000 - $225,000

I'm working with a highly respected legal team seeking a talented Real Estate Finance Associate to join a sophisticated commercial lending practice. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with lenders on complex real estate-secured financing transactions while building meaningful client relationships in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

 

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys managing transactional matters from documentation through closing and wants to deepen client-facing responsibilities. The practice focuses heavily on commercial real estate finance, including construction lending and other complex loan structures, with a strong emphasis on delivering practical, business-focused legal counsel.

You'll work alongside experienced attorneys and paralegals in a collaborative setting that encourages professional growth, client development, and long-term career advancement.

 

What You'll Do

• Represent commercial lenders in a variety of real estate-secured financing transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documentation.
• Lead and support financing transactions from initial structuring through closing.
• Advise clients on complex lending matters, including construction and commercial real estate loans.
• Review and analyze title insurance and related due diligence materials.
• Collaborate directly with lenders, borrowers' counsel, title companies, and transaction stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while managing matters efficiently and effectively.
• Work closely with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to deliver high-quality client service.

 

What We're Looking For

• J.D. degree and active bar admission in good standing (or ability to become licensed as required).
• At least 4 years of transactional real estate finance experience.
• Significant experience representing lenders in real estate-secured financing transactions.
• Strong background in documenting, negotiating, and closing commercial lending transactions.
• Understanding of title insurance and related real estate due diligence.
• Experience handling West Coast transactional matters is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and can manage matters independently.
