Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a leading regional medical center as a Pharmacy Operations Manager, overseeing daily pharmacy operations in an inpatient setting. This role supports the Director of Pharmacy directly and ensures smooth workflow within the pharmacy department of a 300-bed facility.
Location: Oxnard, CA
Setting: Inpatient, regional medical center
Reporting to: Director of Pharmacy
IT System: Cerner
Position Type: Contract, with intent to convert to permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficient and safe medication delivery
- Serve as a key liaison and support to the Director of Pharmacy
- Develop and maintain employee scheduling to meet operational demands
- Proactively resolve issues as they arise to maintain workflow and staff satisfaction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and pharmacy services
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience within a hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and regulations
- Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment
