Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering collaboration and professional growth in a remote setting. Define and oversee the execution of data science projects, from problem formulation and data exploration to model development, validation, and deployment. Develop, implement, and refine sophisticated machine learning algorithms and statistical models to address key business objectives. Design and conduct rigorous A/B tests and other experimental frameworks to evaluate model performance and impact. Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders to translate complex data insights into actionable strategies. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and data science, and champion their adoption where appropriate. Ensure the scalability, robustness, and reproducibility of data science solutions. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data science workflows and code quality within the organization. Communicate complex technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences across different time zones. Drive innovation and proactively identify new opportunities for leveraging data to create business value. Requirements Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in data science and machine learning, with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity. Proven experience in leading and managing data science teams, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment. Deep expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, deep learning), and their practical applications. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, NumPy). Strong SQL skills and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual team. Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into data science solutions and communicate findings clearly. Experience with MLOps principles and tools is a plus.
