Social Worker Position

Hutchinson Public Schools is seeking a social worker for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. This position will work with students at the middle school, high school, and TAP (Transition Assistance Program). Candidates should be appropriately licensed/certified through Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) or contact the district for licensing options. Ideal candidates will hold LICSW or LSW credentials. This position will work 183 days per year, 8 hours per day. The salary range for this position is $49,048.00 per year - $91,357.00 per year. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a Hutchinson Public Schools educational program for young adults with disabilities ranging in age from 18-22 years. TAP is a community-based program emphasizing work experience and independent living skills. The TAP program assists in providing special education programming to increase a student's ability to live and work as independently as possible. Services are provided in the areas of jobs and job training, recreation and leisure, community participation, home living, and post-secondary options. Currently, TAP is serving students from Hutchinson, Litchfield, Buffalo Lake-Hector, Glencoe-Silver Lake, and GFW school districts.
