Production Operator

Immediate Hiring- Production OperatorThe Dye Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently processing additive manufacturing parts through the dyeing operation while maintaining quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. As part of a two-person production team, Dye Operators are cross-trained to perform all stages of the dye process including preparation, dyeing, rinsing, drying, inspection, documentation, and packaging while adhering to established Standard Work and operating procedures.ResponsibilitiesProcess production work orders using the FIFO method.Load, wash, prepare, dye, rinse, dry, inspect, and package parts according to Standard Work.Verify dye bath parameters before processing and perform bath refreshes as required.Operate automatic washers, dye tanks, rinse stations, drying equipment, and related equipment safely.Maintain batch documentation and traceability throughout the process.Inspect parts for color consistency and surface finish.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Report quality, equipment, and safety concerns promptly.Collaborate effectively with other operators to meet production goals.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience operating production machinery and processing equipment in a manufacturing environment.Ability to follow work instructions, maintain production flow, and meet output goals.Ability to inspect parts for color consistency, defects, and overall product quality.Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with standard procedures.Additional Skills & Qualifications1 year of manufacturing experience required.Previous experience in manufacturing, production, finishing, coating, dyeing, or machine operation preferred.Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Basic math and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Comfortable working in a production environment and handling repetitive tasks.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team that values safety, efficiency, and quality in a collaborative work environment. Although the dyeing process is contained and appropriate PPE is provided, employees should expect occasional contact with black dye during normal job duties, which may temporarily stain skin and permanently stain clothing, footwear, or other personal items. The shift options include Friday-Sunday from 4:00pm to 4:30am or Monday-Thursday from 4:00pm to 2:30am.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
