Sr Tax Accountant

Accounting Role

Perform accounting duties in various departments. Provide, analyze, and communicate accounting information from multiple systems, reports, and processes. Prepare internal and external financial data and reporting. Prepare account reconciliations.

1. Prepare required standard entries and complete monthly closing routines.
2. Identify, research, and correct account discrepancies.
3. Assist or prepare various financial, regulatory, and management reports for internal and external audiences.
4. Assist or prepare audit schedules; may compile data for preparation.
5. Maintain and update accounting procedures for areas/tasks of responsibility.
6. Analyze data and/or situations to obtain direction/answers using.
7. Assist with projects and project support as directed.
8. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
9. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
10. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
11. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
12. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
13. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.
14. Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

The pay range for this role is $90,000.00 to $115,000.00.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
