Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Full-Time or Part-Time

At CHE Behavioral, we are committed to increasing access to mental health services and reducing the stigma of mental health conditions. As a multidisciplinary group of licensed professionals, we provide behavioral health services to residents of long-term care and rehabilitation centers in a compassionate and cost-effective manner.

Job Summary

We are seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) or experienced Physician Assistants to join our team in providing psychiatric care in long-term care and rehabilitation settings. With a focus on work-life balance and predictable, steady caseloads, our part-time and full-time positions offer flexibility and autonomy.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
Collaborate with an integrated care team (psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, nursing staff)
Distinguish and diagnose psychological vs. physiological disorders
Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases

Requirements

MSN - Psychiatric/Mental Health; ANCC PMHNP certification
Experience in psychotropic medication management
Active DEA
(Optional) Family Nurse Practitioners with 3-5 years of psych experience will be considered
