Director, Utah Employee Benefits Account Management

SUMMARYMoreton & Company is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as our Director, Utah Employee Benefits AccountManagement. This role leads the Employee Benefits Account Management team, ensuring exceptional client service, teamdevelopment, operational excellence, and client retention.The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with deep employee benefits expertise, a passion for developing talent, and acommitment to delivering outstanding client experiences.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Employee Benefits Account Management team.• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.• Oversee service delivery to ensure exceptional client experience and long-term client retention.• Partner with Producers and leadership to support strategic client initiatives and business growth.• Drive operational efficiency through workflow improvements, resource planning, and process optimization.• Serve as a leadership resource for complex client service matters and escalations.• Monitor compliance with company standards, carrier requirements, and applicable regulations.• Stay current on employee benefits trends, products, and industry developments.QUALIFICATIONSRequired Qualifications• 10+ years of employee benefits, brokerage, consulting, or account management experience.• Strong knowledge of group health, welfare, and voluntary benefits programs.• Proven ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive results.• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.• Experience with self-funded large group account mgmt. (1000+ employees)• Understanding the Employee Benefits sales process and sales cycle.• Familiarity with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPPA and Medicare Part DPreferred Qualifications• Utah Insurance License or ability to obtain and maintain licensure.• Industry designations such as CEBS, RHU, GBA, SHRM, or similar credentials.• Experience working within an insurance brokerage or employee benefits consulting environment.CORE COMPETENCIES• Leadership & Team Development• Client Relationship Management• Strategic Thinking• Operational Excellence• Business Acumen• Collaboration & InfluencePHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop.
