Production Assistant (Princeton, NJ Hybrid)

Overview We are actively seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Production Assistant. This position will be responsible for the production of simple frontlist children’s titles in hardcover and paperback editions, print and digital formats. Responsibilities Work with vendors to create and maintain title-specific schedules. Coordinate all phases of production between internal departments and outside vendors. Issue Purchase Orders for new books, inclusive, but not limited to, printing, binding, components, sales materials, and ebooks. Prepare estimates for acquisition and final production. Quality Control all products and samples. Provide administrative support to director. Assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills Mac/PC experience; MS office; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills Capacity to think and react gracefully in a high-energy, fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task and simultaneously complete multiple projects HarperCollins Publishers is a company full of people who are passionate about books.
