Job Description Well-established employed physician group in Central Pennsylvania is seeking to recruit an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join the team in Lewisburg, PA. Qualifications: Practice comprised of 8 surgeons, and 8 physician assistants with a 30 year established community practice. This opportunity is available due to program expansion. Outpatient practice is provided at a newly renovated office on the hospital campus which includes an ASC, with additional 4 satellite office locations. Newly constructed orthopedic inpatient floor. Surgeries performed at Evangelical Community Hospital and The Evangelical Ambulatory Surgery Center. Physician designed compensation model with generous sign on bonus and moving expenses. Provides appropriate follow up care. Consults with resident staff and/or Hospital staff physicians as needed. Participates in on-call schedule for orthopedic services in the practice and/or hospital setting Assists with developing and maintaining departmental quality assessment and continuing education programs. Performs a variety of administrative duties such as recommending policy and program changes, coordinating patient care and educational activities, and assisting with the development of innovative projects. Documents patient encounters promptly in the office and hospital setting according to standards determined by WellSpan Medical Group Common Expectations: Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested. Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff. Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.
