Job Description Job Description CNC MILL MACHINIST Monday – Friday, must be able to work night shifts 6:00 am - 4:30 pm $26.00 - $30.00 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Set up and operate CNC Mill Properly placing the workpiece in the machines and completing the operations specified on the job travelers. Interpret blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processes Load and unload parts, change tools setting offsets, verify part measurements, detect equipment malfunction, detect out-of-tolerance conditions Performs operations needed to manufacture complex components Perform basic daily maintenance on work center Commitment to keeping a neat and organized work area Develop specifications from simple and complex blueprints, or hand sketch simple parts on paper Adherence to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE Work overtime to maintain customer requirements Fit parts and hold tolerance to within .0005-.002 Produce quality parts in an efficient manner JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3-5 years machining experience on Horizontal CNC milling equipment FANUC and Haas Control knowledge a plus Ability to read and write G & M code and edit programs at the machine Must be familiar with G-code programming formats Blueprint reading skills Able to setup and run concurrent jobs on machines Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, comparators Ability to hold tight tolerances Strong Shop math skills Able to work to metric dimensions Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and ISO quality systems Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals #psbrenham
