Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Familiarity with special education laws and practices.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's goals and requirements.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on articulation, fluency, language development, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate strategies into classroom instruction and everyday activities.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
- Case manage IEP plans and interventions
- Educate staff and parents on communication strategies and the importance of speech and language development.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding service delivery and documentation.
- Classroom-based with regular interaction throughout the school.
- Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
- Regular travel within the school building and occasional off-site meetings.
- Full-time position.
- Expected Salary Range: $65,000-$95,000
- Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and locally competitive.
