Exciting contract opportunities are available for experienced paraprofessionals dedicated to supporting students in special education environments for the 2026–2027 academic year. Multiple full-time roles are open across various school settings in Carbon and Lehigh Counties, each offering distinctive caseloads, including Multiple Disabilities Support, Enhanced Autistic Support, and Emotional Support programs. Assignments begin August 10, 2026, with limited hours for initial training days and Summer Academy, transitioning to regular school hours in late August according to individual placement calendars.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of paraprofessional experience in a K-12 or special education environment.
• Residence within a 35-minute commute of assigned schools—essential for reliable, punctual attendance.
• Availability for a 32.5-35 hour school week, with shifts potentially starting as early as 7:00 AM or ending at 3:30 PM.
• Must meet at least one PA Paraprofessional qualification: 48 college credits, associate degree or higher, or completion of a rigorous state/local assessment (paraprofessional certification can be completed within 60 days of hire).
• Ready to manage a dynamic classroom, including assisting with behavioral challenges, mobility support, personal care (diapering, toileting), and safety during student elopement incidents.
• Reliable personal transportation and a strong commitment to on-time, daily attendance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in special education classrooms, collaborating with teachers and specialists to implement IEPs and behavior plans.
• Uphold student safety, dignity, and engagement in all settings.
• Accurately document student progress and help facilitate communication between school and home.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and mandatory paraprofessional certification.
