Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3x12, Nights, 1845 - 0715

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry unit is responsible for delivering optimal patient care utilizing their knowledge and skills within the nursing process. This role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout an entire episode of care, providing comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, along with their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, performing interventions as necessary.
• Provide care for patients with conditions including CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI, sepsis, dysrhythmias, and more.
• Administer medications, including non-titratable cardiac medication drips.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed.
• May float to Intensive Care Units or medical surgical units based on competency level.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Active NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Candidates must pass a telemetry competency exam.
