Travel Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU in Charlotte, NC

Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Concentric Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend Required Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neurological patients including those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, craniotomies, seizures, carotid stents/endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, and myasthenia gravis Manage and monitor intracranial pressure (ICP) devices, external ventricular drains (EVDs), lumbar drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM, and Arctic Sun equipment Administer and titrate continuous IV sedation, manage blood product administration, and provide care for ventilated patients Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and perform CVA/acute stroke management in a comprehensive stroke center setting Maintain central line care and management, adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols, and document accurately using EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR Float within or near the facility as needed per unit requirements Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required — general ICU experience alone does not meet this requirement Active RN license in NC or a Compact state Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications Proficiency with ventilator management, IV starts, EVDs, lumbar drains, and ICP monitoring Must pass EKG testing prior to start Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be accepted Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with arterial line management Familiarity with comprehensive stroke center protocols and post-neurosurgery patient management Why Join Us Work within a comprehensive stroke center offering exposure to a highly specialized and diverse neurological patient population 13-week contract with a 36-hour weekly schedule and no on-call requirement #J-18808-Ljbffr TravelNurseSource
