Medical Assistant (certified)

Certified Medical Assistant needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh’s primary care clinic located in Notre Dame, IN. Seeking a CMA to cover acute care line and room patients including but not limited to getting vital signs, performing point of care testing, sending referrals, drawing labs, and assisting other team members. Schedule: Monday 7am-5pm, Tuesday 8am-4pm, Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 8am-6pm, and every 5th Saturday 8am-12pm Duration: 8/10-11/8 with possible extension or direct placement Pay: $19-25/hr DOE Estimated Min Rate: $19.00 Estimated Max Rate: $25.00 What You’ll Be Doing: Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' charts Prepares treatment rooms and patients for examination Cleans and sterilizes instruments Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests Gives injections or treatments and performs routine laboratory tests Schedules appointments and makes follow up phone calls to patients Performs administrative tasks, completes appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provides assistance at front desk Keys data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records May require other duties as assigned What You Need to Bring to the Table: National certification in Medical Assisting (CMA only) BLS upon hire Experience in phlebotomy Benefits: Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Health Savings Account (HSA) (for employees working 20+ hours per week) Life & Disability Insurance (for employees working 20+ hours per week) MetLife Voluntary Benefits Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401K Retirement Savings Plan Direct Deposit & weekly epayroll Referral Bonus Programs Certification and training opportunities Recruiter: Laura Mopas All qualified applicants are welcome to apply.
