Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to join our manufacturing client in the Brea area. This position supports accounting and finance by analyzing information and preparing financial reports. You will lead procurement efforts, focusing on vendor negotiations and cost savings through purchase price variance. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $100,000 per year.
Job Description:- Assist in month-end closing and meet financial reporting deadlines.
- Analyze month-end and quarter-end accrual balances to determine appropriate reserves in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Support financial activities related to manufacturing.
- Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with company policy. Investigate and resolve accounting errors and discrepancies.
- Negotiate long-term agreements to ensure supply chain continuity and cost improvement.
- Collaborate with tactical buyers and sustaining engineers to address delivery and quality issues.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to the procurement function.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- Strong financial acumen (P&L and Balance Sheet).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of related experience, preferably in a multinational company environment.
- Desired procurement experience.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is advantageous.
