School Counselor

School Counselor Position

This School Counselor position will be available August 25, 2026. The salary and benefits will be in accordance with the current Professional Association Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement. Candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania K-12 School Counselor certification. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of and empathy for students at the secondary school level as well as a sincere desire to work with them. Further qualifications include the following:

• Knowledge of the PA standards with regards to emotional and physical well-being and safety for children in compliance with Act 126, Act 72, RTII, Chapter 339, and student assistance
• Experience/orientation for Special Education/IEP process and requirements
• Ability to creatively prepare, communicate, and present effective instructional strategies for academic planning, college preparation, vocational education, and crisis counseling with the understanding and empathy for students and the assigned level
• Strong technology background
