Event ServerPrincipal responsibility is to provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all guests for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.Duties:Remain guest focused while performing all assigned duties before, during and after an eventAssume 100% responsibility for the quality of each guest experienceWelcome and greet guests upon entering The Madison/Hotel CovingtonProvide information about our food, beverages and other functions and servicesPerform side work during each shift as assigned by Banquet CaptainMaintain clean and fully stocked prep area, restrooms and ballroomReady and willing to assist other team members with event dutiesHandle tables, chairs, linens, tableware and décor carefully to prevent breakage and lossAlways follow safe food handling guidelinesClean and reset ballroom at the end of every eventAttend all scheduled employee meetings and provides suggestions for improvementOther duties as assignedQualifications:Positive and upbeat attitude and work well with all team membersMust be 18 years of ageMust be able to work weekends until 3:00 AMAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPunctualEnergetic and motivated personalityExcellent oral communication and listening skillsAbility to follow directionsBe willing to work until the job is complete and perform other duties assignedBe able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)Be able to reach, bend, and safely lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds and move up to 100 pounds with assistanceUniform Requirements:Black pants and long sleeve black shirtBlack non-slip shoes with black socksAdditional details outlined in Uniform PolicyCompensation & Schedule:$15 hourlyPart-time, hours will vary depending on events scheduledEligible for annual review and meritPlease submit resumes or questions to: View email address on click.appcast.io
