REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Full-Time, On-site, Pay: $36.06 per hour, Non-Exempt Location Les Peters Youth Academy, 3930 W Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33614, USA Responsibilities Works as a member of the Site Medical Team. Provides general health care for students and staff within the scope of the license. Administers immunizations and assists with health maintenance activities (e.g., TB screens, hepatitis B vaccines). Educates students, staff, and the community on health topics such as sports injury prevention, blood-borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders. Assists with training duties for site employees and provides individualized parenting instruction for pregnant or postpartum students. Coordinates students for psychiatric review and executes orders as prescribed. Works with the Clinical Director/Psychologist to meet students’ psychiatric evaluation and medication management needs. Plans and coordinates services with community agencies to meet students’ health care needs. Orders supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other equipment as needed. Qualifications Valid registered nurse license from the state of Florida. Bachelor’s degree in a related health care field preferred (not required). Minimum two years of medical services experience preferred (not required). Good interpersonal skills required. Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record for past 3 years (if company vehicle use required). Eligible ROP driver if required to operate a company vehicle.
