OYL Operations Manager

We are seeking an ambitious and results‑driven OYL Operations Manager to support and lead day‑to‑day residential construction operations in the Raleigh market. This role is ideal for a production‑savvy professional who understands the complexities of homebuilding, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is motivated to grow into expanded leadership responsibility. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving schedules, quality, cost control, and cross‑functional alignment across construction, purchasing, and sales. Key Responsibilities Operations & Production Oversee residential construction operations to ensure homes are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards Monitor construction schedules, cycle times, and production metrics; identify and resolve bottlenecks Partner closely with Construction Managers, superintendents, and trade partners to ensure consistent execution Support implementation and adherence to standardized processes and best practices Assist with budget tracking, job cost analysis, and variance reporting Support cost‑control initiatives and margin improvement efforts Collaborate with purchasing and vendors to maintain pricing, availability, and performance Leadership & Team Development Provide leadership, mentoring, and accountability to construction and operations staff Support training and development of field leadership talent Act as a culture carrier for accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement Cross‑Functional Collaboration Coordinate with Sales, Design Center, Customer Service, Warranty, and Accounting teams Help ensure smooth handoffs from contract to construction to closing Support resolution of escalated customer or operational issues Process Improvement & Growth Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability Participate in planning for new communities, product launches, and market growth Take on increasing responsibility as the division grows Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience in residential construction or homebuilding operations Strong understanding of production scheduling, construction processes, and field operations Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead through influence High level of initiative, accountability, and problem‑solving ability Preferred Experience with a production or semi‑custom homebuilder Familiarity with Raleigh‑area construction practices, municipalities, and trades Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Ideal Candidate Profile Ambitious self‑starter with a desire to grow into senior operations leadership Detail‑oriented but able to see the big picture Confident communicator who builds trust with field teams and leadership Results‑focused with a hands‑on approach to problem solving Why Join Us Opportunity to grow with a respected residential builder in a strong Raleigh market Exposure to leadership and strategic decision‑making Clear pathway for advancement based on performance Collaborative, high‑accountability culture focused on quality and growth How to Apply: Email your application to View email address on click.appcast.io As part of the application process, we do ask all candidates to complete a personality assessment.
