Bartender Position

The Bartender plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience by preparing and serving beverages with precision, consistency, and genuine hospitality. Your ability to craft high-quality drinks, maintain a clean and organized bar environment, and engage guests with a friendly and positive attitude ensures every visit to Live! Casino & Hotel is both memorable and enjoyable. By upholding responsible service practices and delivering warm, attentive interactions, you help foster a welcoming atmosphere that elevates the overall gaming and dining experience and reinforces the excellence of the Live! brand.

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Mixing, garnishing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company specifications.
• Guiding guests through menu and drink options as well as Casino and hotel offerings.
• Taking orders from guests and returning these orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keep area clean and orderly.
• Providing friendly and attentive service.
• Handling all cash transactions.
• Opening and closing inventories of all stock.
• Retaining knowledge of company policy and procedure regarding guest limitations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills to Help You Succeed:

• Customer service.
• POS (point of sales) Software operating experience.
• Upbeat, outgoing and positive attitude.
• Ability to read write and understand basic instructions.
• Knowledge of all bar equipment, Easy Bar System, ABC laws and regulations.
• Able to handle situations that may arise due to intoxication.
• Ability to communicate with all departments and other team members.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
• Flexible schedule
• Working in a team environment.

Must-Haves:

• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required. A high level of customer service training would be a plus.
• Six months to one year experience as a bartender.
• Obtain and maintain an Alcohol Beverage Control card, and any applicable health certificates.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
• Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Working Conditions:

• 24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees
• Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
• You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.

Please note that this is a union position, and individuals in this role may be required to pay applicable union dues and fees.

Please note that this is a union-represented position and scheduling is governed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Team Members may be required to participate in shift bids, and shift assignments may change based on operational requirements and Team Member seniority.
