Full-Time Accountant – Small CPA Firm

We are a growing small CPA firm seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Accountant to manage accounting functions for multiple monthly clients across a variety of industries. This position requires strong bookkeeping and tax compliance experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced client-service environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly accounting and bookkeeping for multiple client accounts
• Prepare and file sales tax returns accurately and timely
• Process payroll and prepare payroll tax filings
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reports
• Maintain general ledger and journal entries
• Assist clients with accounting questions and provide ongoing support
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding financial information and deadlines
• Support year-end close and assist with audit and tax preparation processes
• Income tax preparation experience is a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a CPA firm or public accounting environment
• Experience handling multiple clients simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of:
• • Sales tax
  • Payroll tax
  • Financial reporting
  • General bookkeeping/accounting procedures
• Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required
• Income tax preparation experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and client service skills
