SHIPPING CLERK
SHIPPING DEPARTMENT

A full-time position is open in the Shipping Department for a Shipping Clerk. The
position is for Monday thru Friday, hours may vary from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
(occasional Saturday may be required).
PAY RATE starts at $18.50

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
a. Prior Shipping experience a plus but not required
b. Physically able to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds
c. Currently have or be willing to complete training required to obtain a
valid forklift permit
d. Assist in basic housekeeping duties (sweeping, putting away boxes, etc.)
e. Complete assigned tasks with emphasis on safety
f. Open communication with co-workers and other departments is required
g. Requires the ability to operate digital and mechanical scales
h. Verifies receipt of parts by weighing, counting and sorting parts to ensure
accurate filling of orders.
i. Distributes stock according to travelers or requisitions
j. Moves or transports material or supplies between departments or to
outside subcontractors for plating as needed.
k. Basic computer data entry skills
l. Seeks opportunities for continuous improvements
m. Ability to adapt to changing priorities as they arise
n. Required to work in other departments if needed
o. Perform other duties as assigned

A very good attendance record and being able to work overtime is required. The ability
to work on your own and take the initiative to complete the required tasks in a timely
and organized manner is very important.
