we are looking for you as a(n)Logistics Specialist II.
This position manages, performs, and provides oversight of third-party logistics (3PL) shipping processes, inventory control and reconciliation, problem resolution, and external material flow at Wacker’s external warehouses and tolling partners. The role is responsible for warehouse and toller logistics support and management to ensure customer delivery requirements are consistently met. Responsibilities include managing the overall operational relationship with external warehouses; overseeing 3PL shipments, returns, and damaged product processes; and working closely with Supply Chain, 3PL providers, and Customer Service to resolve shipment issues. The position serves as the main operational contact for logistics-related IT requests and troubleshooting through the Logistics Control Tower (LCT), acts as the primary source for resolving LCT issues related to EDI errors, and functions as the backup for all offsite warehousing activities in SAP and shipping systems. The role also monitors customer complaints, identifies trends, and supports root cause analysis and corrective actions with warehouse partners. Additional responsibilities include maintaining Integrated Management System (IMS) documentation and work processes, participating in internal and external audits, assisting in the preparation of scopes of work for logistics contracts to ensure alignment with Wacker standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and support the timely movement of product. Work requires the use of experience and judgment for tasks of moderate complexity with limited guidance on more complex activities.
Essential Functions of this Position
Manages, performs, and has oversight of shipping processes, inventory control/reconciliation, returns, damaged material and problem resolution at Wacker’s external warehouses and tollers. Monthly inventory analysis and reconciliation
Monitor system for LCT issues and identify problems in SAP, LCT and EDI transmission
Monitor and input customer complaints and implement actions to reduce customer complaints. Identify trends and assist the warehouses with root cause and corrective action
Interact with site logistics, international imports and exports, supply chains, and business teams to assure customer satisfactions
Attend strategic process improvement meetings with business teams, upper management, supply chain and CSR colleagues
Travel to offsite warehouses and Wacker sites as required
Position Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field required
3-5 years’ experience required
Up to 5% travel required
Logistics processes experience
Analytica, written and communication skills
Strong computer skills, including SAP & SAP Analytics Cloud
Familiar with SAP Complaint & Supplier Claims Management
Strong people interaction and networking skills
Strategic independent critical thinking & real-time decision making
Strong organization, negotiating skills, and attention to detail
SAP, IMDG, HAZMAT, and DOT training desired
