Production Supervisor

Project Management skills would be a real plus! Working on site at the facility is required. Primary Responsibilities Release and prioritize work orders to achieve production schedules, assign work and estimate worker hour requirements for successful completion of job assignments while meeting delivery, quality, and cost metrics. Correctly interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and effectively assign duties. Meet production schedules, efficiencies and utilization targets. Recommend and initiate measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product within company guidelines. Proactively work to improve working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, departments or work crew. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems. Accurately maintain time and production records. Correctly and efficiently estimate, requisition and inspect material as required. Confere with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments; successfully collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver business results. Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel and follow up to ensure successful and timely resolution. Ensure the smooth transition of work between shifts. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Operations Management is required. At least 2 years’ supervisory experience. At least 2 years’ experience in a highly‑regulated manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management. Better than average written and spoken communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal relationship‑building and employee coaching and development skills. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Strong focus and attention to detail. Time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a complex business environment. Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Strong focus on customer service. Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (*See below for details). This position requires either a U.S. Person (as defined in applicable export regulations) or a non‑U.S. person who is eligible to obtain required export authorization.
